Ask The Team: Long Lasting Powder

Hi there! I live in the tropics where it's hot and humid. Everytime I put on foundation powder, it just melts off, leaving my face looking greasy and gross. Do you know of any powders that are matt and that can last even in humid weather? Would appreciate it much. Thanks! Farah

Well Farah, it took some trawling, but I may have found just the thing to prevent your foundation slides...

Trish_mcevoy

Not only is Trish McEvoy Mineral Powder Foundation a powder, foundation and sunscreen (SPF15 – perfect for tropical climes) all in one, it’s also got more staying power than a Duracell battery. The hard-working powder claims to stay put until you want to take it off, and at $32, it’s affordable too. Reviews of this powder suggest that it’s good at covering blemishes and has the coverage of liquid foundation, but that it is a little hard to remove at the end of the day!

    hi,

nice to know that someone is thinking abt the more tropical countries with intense humid conditions, my powder stays on for exactly 20 mins before it becomes an oily, very oily sheen, i would like to know if this product is being sold in West Africa.

    Ta!

Hi Charlotte! Thanks a million! :)

I think Trish McEvoy is stocked in Harvey Nicks, but I'll check. It's definitely available in the UK but it's not easy to find.

And finally, a powder can easily have an SPF, but it needs to be applied evenly and fairly liberally. I'd consider it an addition to a sunscreen, not a viable alternative on a really sunny day!

Also, how does one Ask The Team? Do we just post the question here?

    Thanks again, ladies.

is it only available for customers in the United States?
