This is a product that can work wonders, just as long as you have the time and patience. OPI Nail Envy is a nail strengthener that works through frequent applications. You apply two coats at first, then a coat every other day. Then you take it all off after a week, and start again. Anyone else bored yet? This seems like a whole lot of nail varnish applying when I could be doing infinitely more fun things with my time. I have to admit, I only lasted 3 days on this routine...
So my experience with Nail Envy is that it makes my nails look shiny and nice, but so does any other clear polish. My nails still broke, but seeing as I only applied it twice it’s hardly a fair test.I know this sounds like I’m just incredibly lazy, but beauty should be fun, not hard slog. But with Nail Envy, it seems the mantra, ‘no pain, no gain’ holds true, and if you stick with it, strong, long and lovely nails will be yours. I’ve seen friends nails turn from nothing special to footballers wives talons purely through dedication to Nail Envy, and this reviewer has a similar story. If you find it impossible to grow your weak nails, or, like mine, your nails always flake or spilt, then a bottle of Nail Envy could definitely be your friend. The only other downside is the price, £17 a bottle seems a lot for nail polish, but if you compare it to the price of a manicure it doesn’t seem quite so hefty. Plus there’s always a few bottles to be found on ebay.
Time to waste? OPI have a section on their website where you can try all their shades of polish on an on-screen hand, it’s strangely fun.
