My Pixi Travel Trio in Saucy (rose & deep rose stains with a vivid salmon-pink gloss) has won a permanent place in my portable make-up bag. The dinky sliver case is ultra handy as it also includes a compact mirror, which is great for on-the-go make up applications.
All the Pixi Travel trios contain two lip and cheek stains and a complimentary gloss to slick on top or wear on its own. I have tried the colours on my cheeks once, but to be honest I wouldn’t have been happy sporting the look out of the house. The colour was hard to blend on my cheeks and they looked a bit too rosy and blotchy for my liking. I much prefer Benefit’s Benetint (another lip and cheek stain) for use on the cheeks.
For the lips though, this product comes into its own. The gloss on its own is perfect for a light shine, or you can mix and match the three colours to create an intense/shiny/matte/sheer look depending on the combination. Whatever the occasion, I can usually create a workable lip-look with this palette. The lip stains can also help in weaning you off gloss onto lipstick if you’re trying to make the switch. All in all, a fab lip product but not so hot for cheeks, just about good enough for lips alone to justify the £16 price tag
