Yay or Nay: Lush

Lush02 It was a mixed bag last week, some of you were happy to make beauty counter assistants your new best friend, and a small amount (much smaller than I expected) just wanted them to push off so you could be let loose on their product samples.

This week, I'm after your opinions on what is probably the stinkiest shop in the whole universe - Lush. Now I mean that in a nice way - when the familiar smell of Lush wafts past me I know I'm within a two mile vicinity of one of their shops, and more often than not, a spending spree will commence when I finally reach the shop. Yet in my experience, people fall into two distinct camps when it comes to Lush - evangelical devotees, or those who stalk past holding their nose in disgust. So which one are you? Yay or Nay and why?

Yay I love Lush! my fave product has got to be Blue Skies and White Fluffy Clouds bubble bar I love all thoses smells and the shampoo bars are excellent value I use Godiva, Soak and Float, Ultimate Shine...I also love the fact that you reduce your "carbon footprint" as its trendy to say.. by using them, as one bar will last for the equivelent of 3 bottles!

An absolute yay - I use lush products exclusively. The smell of their shops is enough to put me in a good mood for the rest of the day and I always buy far more than I need.

yay smells overwheming at first but once your in there its not to bad. i am a beauty therapist and have tried loads of big salon brands on my mouch but lush is far best for my sensitive skin. natural products are so much better than chemicals. Cetyl alcohol Cetyl Lactate. Cetyl Myristate. Cetyl Palmitate. Ceteth-1, 02, etc. is wax found in spermaceti from sperm whales or dolphins. all this collagen in creams dont work and it cant be made up in some lab it comes from slaughter house waste! same goes for creams with DNA, elastin and Polypeptides. how can slapping dead animal cells be ant-aging? i love lush.

Yay, yay, and yay again!! Fabulous, natural and innovative products which are a godsend to sensitive skin, and to those who are fed up of having to slap a bunch of chemicals on their face. Buffy and Dream Cream are my absolute staples, and their Imperialis moisturiser has done wonders for my combination skin. Yes, some of their products may be pricier than some of their test tube counterparts, but they're like that for a reason - it costs a lot more to produce products containing natural ingredients than synthetic ingredients. And lord knows, you're paying for good quality stuff.
