There's absolutely nothing flattering about this video what so ever. Forget the easy-on-the-eye Shiny TV - this is car crash viewing. It took me so long to get the mask on I had to speed that section up four times, which does interesting things to my voice - but I left that in to humiliate myself even more, may as well go the whole hog...

After the success of the Skinvitals H-Revive Mask I was expecting more of the same from Spa Sciences. I have to say, I was a little disappointed, after 40 minutes, my face looked pretty much the same as it did to start with. I took before and after pictures, but there really was no difference. Unlike the Skinvitals mask, my face wasn't plump with moisture and it had little to no effect on my fine lines. It does go on and stay on better than the Skinvitals mask though. Although each looks equally scary and as you can tell from the video, this one makes it very difficult to talk.
At £3 for Skinvitals and £14.99/$11.99 for Spa Sciences, I'm surprised to say I much preferred the cheaper version, until...
My mother decided she wanted to try the mask too, and put a coat of Olay Regenerist Serum underneath to help keep it in place.
She left it on an hour, and the results were amazing. Obviously, being my mother, she has a lot more wrinkles than me, and they were reduced to the extent that I would have sworn she had a face lift, or at least Botox. She says using Regenerist on its own doesn't have the same effect, so the mask is obviously helping it penetrate the skin.
The effects were pretty much gone by the morning, but it's still a pretty amazing temporary transformation for only an hour. I also have the eye patches to test, so look out for a before and after with those combined with Regenerist.
