'I'm a Barbie girl, in my Barbie world, with my Barbie MAC makeup'. It just sounds a little unlikely, no? When you imagine Barbie applying her makeup, MAC isn't exactly the first brand that you'd imagine Barbie might have in the glove box of her pink Beetle. But it seems like MAC and Barbie are counting on the fact that lots of fully grown women harbour a secret desire to be a fully grown barbie doll, as they are launching an adult Barbie makeup range in spring 2007. Mattel and MAC didn't release any further details of the collaboration, but MAC did comment that they and Mattel have more in common than you might think. Like what, exactly? As a MAC fan, and someone who was interested in Barbie between the ages of 4 and 8, I'm certainly curious to see what they come up with.
