Mascara Special #2: Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara

Masterpiece_max_factor_1 Meet our highest scoring mascara yet...

The blurb: Max Factor has increased interaction between bristles and lashes delivering a high level of mascara product, creating superb volume and exceptional definition of lashes. The new iFX brush, the first of its kind, is designed to facilitate precision brushwork; delivering superb definition to your lashes, framing your eyes and making them stand out beautifully. So you will be eye catching what ever the occasion.

The brush: Plastic spikes, or the iFX brush as Max Factor like to call it.

The tube: Looks more expensive than it is - gold coloured and nice and fat.

The application: Easy, lashes hardly clumped, and they lengthened a lot!

The price: £8.99

The location: Boots, Superdrug and any store that stocks Max Factor.

The verdict:Super long Geisha lashes - it delivered beyond what I expected. OK, so maybe not quite as much as the ads, but as much as possible with my short, thin lashes. My lashes were more defined, like the blurb suggests, and they only clumped at the edges on about the third coat. This is my new must have mascara, the picture doesn't do it justice.

Best for: Lengthening without clumps, it thickens too, not massively so, but enough.

Score: 5/5

Gemma Adds: This one gets 5/5 from me too, as a day to day mascara nothing can beat it. It's so good at giving clump free lashes that I can even apply it on the bus! In the USA the product is marketed as 'Max Factor Lash Perfection'. We've tried that too, and it's just as good!

I bought this mascara because it came with a free eyeliner and I am always up for a good bargain. And I have to say, this is my all time favorite mascara, and I've tried a lot of mascaras! Since I bought it, I've been complimented on my eyes and my eye makeup for times than I can count.

I must be the only one to not rate this mascara at all, it makes my eyelashes clump and look like spider's legs! I don't get it =((

I bought this mascara when it very first came out because it looked so good on the advert...I had never spent £11.00 on mascara before, but I really wanted to try it. And I have to say it has got to be the best the best one I have ever purchased. I have long, jet black eyelashes naturally but still use mascara to give an even fuller look...I used to only very rarely where mascara because it clumped my eyelashes together. I went on a night out and wore the mascara for the first time and throughout the night received so many comments about how beautiful my eyes were. I wear it nearly everyday now and I've never changed brands since !!! =o) xxx
