Colorescience Sunforgettable

Sunprotection I know that mineral foundation has SPF in it, but I never considered using it as a dedicated SPF, Colorescience obviously did, and the result is Sunforgettable. It's a clear mineral sunscreen designed for your body, you apply it with the integrated brush, and are instantly protected, even if you get wet. It's a great idea, but I just don't think I would feel protected enough.

I beg to differ - if this contains titanium oxide or zinc oxide, then it will serve as a sunscreen. Unforunately, zinc oxide is an anti-inflammatory so if you do begin to burn you won't be able to see it until too late.

And believe it or not the FDA don't even regulate dangerous ingredients such as parabens in cosmetics so I wouldn't even bother trusting them on anything else either. Best advice is to look it all up yourself.

There is no way that can give full protection! As the Beauty Brains said (I dunno which post; look it up), to get full SPF protection, one has to have a liberal coating, and no mineral makeup or body powder can do that; and the FDA unfortunately does not regulate application, just the general SPF of the product. Shame on whoever makes this product!

If they make the claim of SPF 30 on it, then it has to have passed a specific test (regulated by the FDA in the US). Of course, that means you have to still put it on correctly and anywhere you've missed won't be protected.
