The Body Shop voted most ethical beauty brand by consumers

This wouldn't have surprised me before The Body Shop were bought by L'Oreal. But now it does, and what surprises me more is that L'Oreal were voted in second place. L'Oreal may have cleaned up their act lately, but I still know people who still won't buy any of their brands due to the fact they are owned by Nestle. Lush was way down the list in joint 15th place with Boots. Who would be your choice?

The Body Shop is owned by L'Oreal, but it is still an independently ran business that does a lot more to make the world a better place than any of the brands you mentioned. The reason it was sold was so that Anita Roddick could focus her energies on her passions and all the good the company has done. L'Oreal bought The Body Shop with respect for its values, and they will continue to do so. Boycotting such a wonderful company is an immature act. How does any other company support independent farmers around the workd through community trade.

i know that the body shop is anti animal testing, but it doesnt mean that all of the girls wil buy.

This is because, they will rather believe that u have test the product and make sure the product will not hurt our skin, this have do before the products are selling out, right?

As we all know, if you do not wan to test on animal, it means that human will be the one test the products.Yes, most of us are selfish, but is nit true? Do you want to hurt yourself by just because buying something that had not been tested?honestly.

Can't believe Lush was voted 15th. Guess it's primarily because a lot of people still don't know a lot about lush.

I would say Lush to me is the most ethical beauty brand because everything seems to pure and natural, even the makeup. The Body Shop is very ethical and stands for good causes, but I think L'Oreal has tainted the name a wee bit now. But saying that, it won't stop be buying from there.

Obviously the people who voted aren't very clued-up, are they? How did Lush manage to be all the way down there while L'Oreal is at the top? L'Oreal must be laughing at this, they've barely done anything ethical but Lush have campaigned for ethics for years and they only manage number 15!

As a side note, I will not purchase any Body Shop products again now that it's owned by L'Oreal.
