What do Lauren Laverne, Cate Blanchett and Natasha Bedingfield have in common? They all look totally amazing and not a tan in sight!

Sun bathing can lead to skin cancer and wrinkles, and what's more - it's totally unnecessary. This season pale skin ruled on the catwalk, and believe it or not - not every celebrity is perma-tanned. These gorgeous gals show that pale is interesting, and not only that - you can look just as beautiful milky white as with a tan. Which is a good job, as I'm permanently white as a sheet! Carry on reading for for more fair-skinned anti-tanning inspiration...

Hurrah for pale ladies! I love being pale.. I call it 'pale and interesting', and slap on factor 40 when I'm on holiday... jst about manage to avoid slapping people when they say to me 'you haven't got very brown have you?'

Helen I'm exactly like you! But the thing is, even if I don't wear the factor 40 I stay just as pale! So may as well be pale and protected. I find it great that these women can look so good fair skinned the amount the media perpetrates the idea that we all need to be super tanned!
I know what you mean - people always think I've just arrived on holiday when I'm in fact going home because I never change colour at all!

I absolutely agree, being Pale rocks. Plus all of my friends love it because when they come back from holiday they can compare the before and after to my skin tone, and if they haven't had much time in the sun they can sit next to me and look positively glowing.
Anyone got any ideas on getting even paler?

i hate being pale though, u can see my veins and i go purple/blue soo easy! and in all the photos its plain and ugly! i wish i was brown so i had some colour in my skin. what another thing that Lauren Laverne, Cate Blanchett and Natasha Bedingfield have in common? they're all blondes, and blondes suit fair skin okay.

hey. I always loved white skin. I'm trying to do everything I can to have it white. Red lipstick and dark eyeliner makes me stand out always.
Yet once in 2 years my skin needs some sun, cause without it, the skin degrading really easily.
I love dita! She really is an icon.
