MAC Viva Glam party: Dita Von Teese shows us what she's made of!

The girls from Catwalk Queen headed out to the MAC Viva Glam party last night, and although there's no mention of the actual lipstick - slap on the wrists for them! - it sounds like they had a celebrity filled night...

There wasn't too many smiling faces in the office yesterday when just two invites arrived for the MAC Viva Glam party and the reason? Three words - Dita Von Teese! As one of CQ's most beloved style icons, the opportunity to see the Queen of Burlesque herself perform in the flesh (literally) had the whole office in a tizz. And we weren't disappointed; watching the former wife of Marilyn Manson do her thing on stage in a full sequin cowgirl outfit will not be easily erased from my memory. Following a slow and seductive strip, Dita then jumped on top of a rotating lipstick and rode it like a horse while the crowd went crazy. The performance lasted no more than 10 minutes but that didn't stop some of her most adored fans from travelling all over the country to see her perform.

Tagging along was his entire family including Mia but no sign of Liv sadly.

I bumped into Henry Holland (below, right) over canapés and he recommended that I try the brownies which I did and he wasn't wrong, they were to die for! He also admitted to being rather nervous about presenting an award at the recent Graduate Fashion Week Gala, I reassured him it didn't show. Part of me desperately wanted to ask him to design a t-shirt especially for CQ to read "I love to be seen Catwalk Queen" but I chickened out at the last minute... not enough bubbly had been consumed clearly.

London burlesque dancer Immodesty Blaise (above, left) was also in attendance chanelling Sophia Loren circa 1950s. She wore this amazing black number complete with a black and white hat which sat to the side and tied around with a scarf - the epitome of old Hollywood glamour. I wanted to kidnap her and bring her back to the office for the CQ staff to coo over her.

Today, Dita Von Teese makes her second appearance for MAC cosmetics at Selfridges. She will be signing posters with every purchase of MAC Viva Glam lipstick sold. Click here for further details.
