Yay or Nay: MAC Cosmetics

Mac Out of every make up brand, MAC has the most dedicated followers. No other brand has whole internet communities like Specktra dedicated to them. And few can boast collectors as dedicated as blogger Temptalia.

But what do you think of MAC? In terms of pigment, I've never found anything better. But, on the other side, MAC could never be accused of being cheap, and sometimes its never ending limited edition collections are a bit repetitive. What's your take? Yay or Nay for MAC Cosmetics, and why?

Oh yeah one more thing, there should be a MAC Pro Store in every country in the world!

YAY! Yes MAC could be a pain in the wallet if you buy a lot in one go but if you look at it, MAC is already one of the cheapest among the high-end brands. There's something about MAC that makes every woman who's into make up addicted to it. I just started with my own mini collection this year and I'm looking forward to future collections MAC will release. But still, I do splurge on other brands as well like Shu Uemura, Dior and Cargo coz it's just so much fun to diversify, and I can create more looks if I use other brands as well.

It's a yay all the way for me. The colour in the tube or pot is the colour that ends up on your face - there's never ashy or chalky finishes.

The Fluidlast eyeliners are the best liquid eyeliners I've ever used. They just do not budge - even after a two-hour jazz dance class!

I LURVE MAC (and also several other makeup brands)!!! I have a few of their blushers, lipsticks and blot powder, and am constantly adding to my collection. My only gripe is that it's rather pricey in Malaysia.

YAY! I adore MAC, it's my #1 brand. I love the range of colours and finishes (so many matts, so many glosses, so many pearls and shimmers). I adore their mineral skin finishes and I love the gimmicky idea of the limited editions. They're fun. Even if you miss a colour you really adore, a year or two later, it'll be back in a slightly altered format.

The one problem I do have with MAC though, is that their foundation batches aren't always the same shade. I am incredibly pale and wear NW15, however, one bottle may be perfect, another too dark. My friend who is also a NW15 girl compared her bottle to mine recently and it was a fair few shades lighter.

Therefore I tend to stick to my I'm-so-shocked-this-is-good ultra smooth Body Shop foundation.
