Yay or Nay: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Polish in Tulipe Noire

Chanel_tulipe_noire So this is Chanel's latest nail colour, the metallic Tulipe Noire, or rather - black tulip. It's already being touted on eBay, but what's the verdict? Do you love it? Is this shade the next big thing? Or would you rather wear anything but?

Yay or Nay and why?

Last week you told me you'd rather comment than vote, even though only 15 of you commented and 129 voted in the poll! So I'm expecting at least 129 yays or nays this week. It only takes a minute guys! As for Bourjois, going by the poll 91% of you loved it, but the comments revealed some problems with breaking packaging and over-sticky gloss.

[Don't forget it's Yay or Nay day at Hippyshopper, Bridalwave, Dollymix, Corrie Blog, Catwalk Queen, Kiss and Makeup, The Bag Lady, Shoewawa and Shiny Shiny, too!]

I think I'd have to agree with your there, Jess. Just not that exciting, is it?

its nice, but at the end of the day, what was so fantastic about black? i have a 99p one from superdrugs that looks just as nice with a good top coat on it!

as for this seasons colour, i'm not so sure. having been flicking the blogs today, and seeing alot of block and bold colours beting touted as this autumns in-thing, i think nails will swing round to a much more netrual, lighter colour that will go with more colours than this will. thats why the black was so popular, cos everyone knows, black goes with everything!

I agree with the last 2 comments. Nothing extraordinary about the color - it's just okay.

Nay! I think it's a bit old (I'm 17!). I'd think it was really classy on a grandma though!

I dig it.
Yay.

Nay for me. Then again, I didn't give in to the Black Satin craze last year either. I just can't justify buying Chanel polish when there are so many great less expensive brands on the market.

I quite like it! Chanel nail polishes are priced over the top, but I may buy one in the future to see what they're like.

It's a Yay.. i think.

I also have to say that it doesn't look like anything special, but it is a nice shade, that's why I'm giving it a yay

I actually quite like this shade and would consider buying it, so a YAY from me

The colour is nice, albeit nothing special as most have already stated. Yay from me.

Whilst it's a lovely colour, there isn't anything special about it - I have about 4 that shade hanging around the house. So a nay from me I think.

Yay for me, if I can find a good knock off I will buy it instead. Anyone seen some?

It's pretty, but not spectacular. Lotus Rouge is prettier. Nay.

Ahhh-I seriously can't decide whether I like it or not. I think it's a really nice colour, but I don't see it any different to any other colour. I love nail polish, but I don't think I would spend so much money on that to be honest.
