Review: Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss

The balm/gloss hybrids just keep coming, don't they. Clinique's Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss is definitely more of a gloss than a balm, and although I won't be binning my lip balm any time soon, this is one of the most moisturising glosses I've had the pleasure of wearing...

I tried Ginger, a shade that looked a little dark in the tube, but when on, is definitely not too dark for my super-pale complexion. The first thing that strikes me about this gloss is how thick it is, and as a consequence, how long lasting it is. Unusually for a gloss, this lasted all morning before I had to reapply.

Wearing this, my lips feel more moisturised than with the average gloss, and my lips feel quenched even after it has worn off - the litmus test for any balm. The glosses are mid-priced at £10 each, but I'm sufficiently in love with this balmy gloss to want to discover some of the other eight shades.

OOhhh, I saw these over the weeken and really wanted to try the one in Grapefuit (such a pretty colour!)-you've convinced me now to try it ;)

I hope you like it Jen, Grapefruit does look lovely! I forgot to mention in my review, as glosses go, I found it pretty damn shiny. So if you like shine, you'll probably like this!

I was quite excited about this coming out and went to the large Boots store near me. Turned out they didn't have it in store or on order so they're not going to have it in anytime soon! So much for a new product. Anyways the assistant introduced me to the rasberry and grape superbalm lip balm and i ended up buying the rasberry balm instead. A lot smaller, generally works the same only a little thicker. Still quite shiney and lasts for hours
