Rimmel relaunch Heather Shimmer in Lasting Finish Intense Wear Lipstick
If you're roughly the same age as me, and from England, I can virtually guarantee that at one time in the nineties, you will have owned Rimmel's Heather Shimmer or Coffee Shimmer lipstick. Looking at pictures of me wearing it back then, I really don't think it's wise for me to relive this trend, but if you wanted to, you could. Although Heather Shimmer has never actually been discontinued, it's now been relaunched as part of the new Lasting Finish range. So if you're feeling nostalgic, then you can relive your youth for the bargain price of £3.99.

It was all about Heather Shimmer, Birthday Suit (which I didn't understand at the time!) and my fave a black cherry lipstick which I wore in my grungy days. I remember getting told off in biology class for applying it. I was trying to impress this boy I fancied who had long hair and doc martens. *happy days*

Ah Birthday Suit! I'd forgotten that one! I got told off all the time for my excessive black eyeliner and dark lipstick!

My fave rimmel lippie was "French Kiss" - it was so dark it would have been gothy but I used to wipe most of it off and then put gloss over it. Was so upset when it was discontinued!!!

Me too - it was all about 'Black Cherries'. I hated Heather Shimmer - but I was a grunger with purple Doc Martens, a lumberjack shirt and an obsession with Kurt Cobain!

'Wild Clover' was another. Really matte and horrible and all my friends wore it. I was all about the Fudge Brownie. Thought I was being 'different'. I looked even worse.
My mom used to wear Black Cherries. That and some godawful No. 7 lippy that was way too dark for her skintone. Thank God I've now got her into lighter colours and gloss!
