The reason that poets, scientists and bloggers like discussing beauty is because it no one can really have the last word on it. You have your commercial sleek young beauties. You have your weathered 80 year olds whose faces have a glow and a warmth of understanding. Beauty spans over countless times and places.
Although I have Stein Leventhal, a benign endocrine disorder, as do about 5-10% of women, I think my appearance reflects it as well as my personal complexities.
Beauty can have many feelings. One can be refreshed or exhausted and still be beautiful.

I think beauty is self-confidence. Not over-confidence, but enough confidence to have that inner glow, carry yourself well, etc.
Much easier said than done though!

Beauty is a special feeling , when you know that your imperfections make you part of who who are. That your "flaws" are what make you special , to feel safe and comfortable in your own skin , but never to deny yourself , your body and your soul a little pampering, getting a buzz from highlighting what you have got.

Beauty is knowing that your skin alone is fine. You don't need all those products to feel good and validate you. The products do not make you better or more valuable. Beauty is knowing you're beautiful regardless.

Beauty is short lived, being a beautiful person is timeless.
I am the most beautiful person when I wake up and my husband whispers how much he loves me, when my son tells me I am the prettiest Mum on the playground and means it!

Beauty is.... the smile on your childs face as you play with them in the rain, then take them indoors and cuddle up with a warm towel.
Until today, I would have said something different. But thats what I did today, and the smile on his face was the most beautifulest thing I've seen.

People look up to models, people physically harm/ bully people because they are more "easy on the eye".

I think beauty isn't just about looks, although that does play a part in it. Everyone has their own tastes so there is at least one person in the world who will find you beautiful, which is a good thing to know.

Beauty is about accepting yourself for what you are. I'm never going to be a model but there are areas of my body i am proud of and know that they are loved my the man in my life. He wants a real woman not what the magazines tell him he should have. I feal real.
