Knit Origins Ginger Essence Sensuous Skin Scent a scarf, and you'll help Shelter

Origins are helping Shelter this Christmas by donating £1 from the sale of every bottle of Ginger Essence Sensuous Skin Scent to the homeless charity. But before they can do that, they want to make sure every bottle is warm and cosy with its own scarf. And, erm, they want you to knit them.

You don't actually get anything in return for your knitting* (apart from a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, of course) but your scarf could be featured on the Origins website this Christmas, and of course will feature in a Origins store...somewhere.

*Unless you send it via the Telegraph in which case you'll be eligible to win a £100 goody bag.

Keep reading for instructions if you want to help...

- Choose your favourite Christmas themed wool (red, green or gold) – the brighter the better and get your knitting needles ready.
- Start by stitching across for four and then knit 40 rows down.
- Make your scarf stand out by adding your own personal touch – with glitter, tassels, patterns etc.
- Once your scarf is ready pop it in the post addressed to: Origins Ginger Knits, 73 Grosvenor Street, London, W1K 3BQ. (Please post your scarves as soon as they are ready and no later than 20 November 2007).
