Review: Nivea Oxygen Power Reviving Day Cream part 3

Nivea_oxygen_power_reviving_day_cre Here's the last three of our Nivea Oxygen Power reviews - now that it's been tried by no less than ten Kiss and Makeup readers, you should be well placed to decide if it's right for you! The first two sets of reviews can be found here and here.

OK, first impressions: I did like the light mousse-like texture, and the ease of getting it out the can. The can mechanism itself can be difficult to control; it often squirts out more than I would like, even with the lightest of presses. But once out of the can, its colour and consistency fit the claims of 'Oxygen Power' pretty well, and you can imagine it doing wonders for your skin!

The smell, however, was a little overpowering for me. Being used to fragrance-free products (I have eczema and sensitive skin) I found the parfum overwhelming at first, with the smell even staying on my hands after application. I have gotten used to this now, though...

Results-wise, it's a little early to say... I haven't really noticed a difference in the texture of my skin yet, but it does appear brighter. That said, though, my face does get shinier as the day wears on! I feel it needs a little more time for a fairer review...

I had been looking forward to using this product as my skin is often very dull looking. The cream comes out of a can which is pretty unusual and its easy to push down on the dispenser and get more cream than you wanted. It had a nice smell and texture but when putting the cream I found it was pretty greasy and was difficult to know if it had been absorbed properly. I often ended up putting too much on, this definitely didn't help when putting makeup on afterwards. I have pretty oily skin anyway and this seemed to make it worse although my skin did seem a bit brighter immediately after use. I don't think i will be using it instead of my usual moisturiser due to its price and the fact that it made my skin very oily and shiny.

I love the feel of it and the smell. I haven't noticed any changes in my skin as yet but I think it's still early days. I think I prefer it to my usual moisturiser but I still think I need to give it a bit longer to say for sure. The only problem I've had with it is that when you press the top to dispense the creram, too much comes out, I've tried pressing it more gently but still too much comes out and I feel like I'm wasting it. I think there should be less packaging to to be more environmentally friendly.
