Hi there,
I am interested in trying this as I have natural afro hair, but wanted to know if this range that Jamelia is promoting for natural afro hair, or is it for relaxed hair and/or the european type extension hair that Jamelia wears?
I look forward to your reply, thank you.

hi marcia,
i'm not sure whether the jamelia range is really for afro hair at all even though jamelia is modelling for it. number 1 - jamelia is know for her hair weaves not her natural afro hair. number 2 - she probably doesn't do her own hair anyway. number 3 - the jamelia range is on boots get gorgeous cd but the blowout lotion is used on a mariah carey coloured model with perfectly straight hair with no form of kinks or curls. if they really wanted to show how the products work on afro hair why not used models with that hair type - not jamelia. i dont have a problem with jamelia - i have a problem with toni and guy misleading people with their packaging.
i dont know if this helps you - but i needed to have a bit of a rant about this new 'black' range of hair care!!!

Ladies check out the latest Pride (Oct)there is a feature article on the Model me.. range and an interview with Jamelia maybe that would answer some of your questions!
I personally would not recommend the products for natural hair down to the fact that the packaging clearly shows Jamelia with straight hair (ok, ok it is a weavr but the fact remains its straight!)
I think this range (the Model Me..Jamelia)would be great for women with relaxed/bi-racial hair who live outside of large city centres and have difficulty finding products to maintain their hair.

I would also like to comment that I find it very disappointing that Toni & Guy offer this hair care range but if as a black person you ring a Toni & Guy salon you are asked if your hair is firstly relaxed, secondly if it is a good relax as opposed to a brittle relax.....to add insult to injury you are then told that they either can not do your hair or can only wash & blow dry your hair but nothing else. This is quite a shame considering seeing a picture of Jamelia in the window advertising her products leads you to believe they will be able to style your hair.

Hey,
It works for natural afro-hair. I found it great to use, and I know that Jamelia also uses it too..which you'd expect from someone who's trying to sell you something to say, but Jamelia seemed genuine, because she was saying how she was there to test everything, and helped add ingredients, scents, etc and wanted to create something that she could use for herself too.
