Imetec Nutriheat Nutrition System Silk Protein Hairdryer

Imetec have designed a revolutionary hairdryer. But while they think it's revolutionary because of the Nutriheat Silk Capsule which apparently nourishes hair while you dry, I think it's revolutionary because they've found a way to get you spending an extra £4.99 on replacement silk capsules (each one only lasts for 35 minutes of drying). Still I guess if it really does reduce frizz by 90%, and make it 87% shiner (just how they measured that hair was 87% shiner I don't know), as they claim, we'd be all to happy to pay out. As it is, I'll stick with plain old hot air.
UPDATE: We've now had a chance to test the Nutriheat dryer, watch our video review here.

I got the Bed Head Light Me Up Hair Dryer and I love it! My hair has been so much smoother and it dries my hair so fast! It is the best I have used!

In response to Charlottes comments the Nutriheat dryer is absolutely fantastic anybody who cares about their appearance will agree that £4.99 is a small price to pay for beautiful hair. You would spend more than that on a deep conditioning treatment in most salons.
On my hair the dryer reduced frizz by 100% and the shine effect is stunning as the box states vast consumer trials were conducted on different hair types to product the capsule and many months of research. Shine effects are measured by consumer trials the same as they are in wet goods i'm sticking with my Nurtiheat!
Anybody who tries it will not be disappointed!

I completely agree with Amanda. I have just purchased my own Nutriheat Hair Dryer and I'm so pleased with the results. Whilst I adore my GHD irons, it doesn't completely reduce frizzy hair. And no amount of serum or wax would solve the problem. And so I decided to add this to my haircare routine too. It has dramatically improved the condition of my hair: reduced frizz, incredibly soft and shiny. My hair is now a lot more easier to style and straighten. If you're looking for something that will give you the 'I've just been to the salon' feeling, then this is for you.

My daughter bought me this nutriheat hairdryer for my birthday and the first time I used it I was astounded by the result. No frizz! I also love the smell released by the capsule too. I think that £4.99 is a small price to pay for healthy looking hair. It takes me about 5 minutes to dry my hair, so one capsule will last for 7 washes, which is about 80p or 11p per wash. I have spent a fortune in the past trying to find a conditioner which has the same effect, without making the hair heavy, without success. I wish the lead was a bit longer though.

hmmm, 5 mins to dry your hair. It must be very very very short. I smell marketing.

or else some of us only take 5 or 10 minutes to dry our hair, because we're not terminally vain and don't take hours to walk out of the house...

I agree with fiona, it's really hard to get an objective review of this hairdryer which is putting me off buying it now. Those reviews seem a bit too good to be true and very cliched.

I posted the above comment on November 8th. I am in no way connected with the makers of this hairdryer. I have thick shoulder length hair, weebisom and I think your comment is very rude! I agree with ziggy james, I do not spend hours in front of the mirror before I go out and yes, it does only take me approximately 5 mins to dry my hair. I am finding that the capsule lasts much longer than suggested by the manufacturer and I usually change mine when the smell weakens. One of my friends has also bought this hairdryer and has found the same results as myself. We are both very satisfied customers and would still recommend this hairdryer to anyone. I have no idea how the silk proteins work, but they just do.
