If you can't afford the on-the-go palettes by a certain other brand, then ME ME ME's Life in the Fast Lane Lip and Eye Kits are the perfect budget alternative. Happily, the drop in price doesn't equate to a drop in quality, I was actually really impressed with these eye and lip colours.

Shown is the Dancing Queen Palette (the blue-black and white combine to make a gorgeous metallic silver), and there's also a Shopping Spree Palette with daytime lemon and green shades. For budget shadows the eyeshadows gave a great deal of pigment (although for best results use a better quality brush than the applicator included) and were long lasting and crease-free. The lip colours (one matt colour, one sheer gloss) were wearable shades in a moisturising formula. The only downside is that the gloss does get a little messy, so a cover wouldn't have gone amiss, but otherwise for £4.99 I couldn't ask for anything more.
