We've had an email from Silvia asking for budget alternatives to Benefit's £15.50 Moon Beam. Well, Silvia, your luck is in, thanks to the popularity of Moom Beam and High Beam, a bus load of companies have created their own not-so-steeply-priced highlighters, and usually, they work just as well.

1. Revlon Skinlights Illuminator is a great cheapo highligher which I fear may have been discontinued. But the plus side is that you can buy it all over the internet for discounted prices. It's only £4.45 at Beauty Spot Cosmetics.
2. Me Me Me's Beat the Blues is fantastic for really tight budgets as it only costs a tiny £4.50. It's a slightly thicker consistency than Benefit's highlighter, but it still gives a great result for the price. It's also available in Moom Beam and High Beam alike shades. Check it out in Superdrug.
3. Barbara Daly Make Up for Tesco Radiant Touch is a more subtle version of the Beams, giving a luminous wash of pearl for a glowing complexion for only £6.
