I'll admit it, I've had two. Both were in the nineties and the second one was even quite nice - I had soft waves, and unbelievably, no frizz. Perms are very much out of fashion at the moment but my hair is so fine and limp I would probably even consider having another one just for a bit of body. So, fess up, have you ever succumbed to the chemical curlers?

The one and only time I had a perm traumatised me for life. I was fed up of having long straight and flat hair. When I was 16 I went to get my hair done professionally so that it had waves in it. Not only did they chemically damage my hair, leaving a giant mess of brittle frizz, which took me 4 years to grow out, they told me that it was supposed to be that way and charged me the full amount.

i am 28 now and had two perms. The first one at 24 and the second at 28, about a month ago. The first one turned out beautiful. the second. what a night mare, oaky! my recomendation is get a stylist who is well known to give a good perm. NEVER go to a stylist that has other professions in mind EVER!!! I mean why become a stylist if you plan on doing something else? It is so unfair and rude. The girl who did my hair obviously sux and she even looked like she wanted to cry. this was the worst due of my life. ITS SO HARD TO FIND A GOOD HAIR STYLIST THESE DAYS!!!
