Hair Salon Review: Eleven

There's nothing like a good blow dry to get you feeling incredibly perky with your bedraggled air transformed into a soft silky curtain that flicks around your shoulders like an angel's halo ( I tend to wax lyrical when I'm having a good hair day). The salon is set on a quiet street just off New Bond Street and its small space still has enough room for luxurious treatments and helpful staff. I was asked what I wanted done, and when I said straight and sleek I didn't get the usual rolled eyes at sticking with something so safe.
I was whisked to a white basin and enjoyed a great head massage and a variety of delicious smelling Redken products applied- and advised that their blonde range was great for my hair- all without the hard sell. Next I was placed into a comfy white leather look hair, plied with a variety of up to date glossy magazines and offered a complimentary drink- of which I had a diet coke. My hair was then teased and brushed till it was knot free, product applied and then the drying started.

My stylist Ben White, who also turned out to be the salon owner was extremely entertaining , up to date on all the latest celeb gossip and very friendly- not even chastising me for my appalling split ends. He quickly dried it and styled it, and then ran briefly through it with irons- 'Not too much', he said, 'We don't want you looking like Girls Aloud!'
I was very impressed with the results- I had flicks in my hair I'd never noticed before and gentle feathering that accentuated that my face. I was in and out within 40 minutes, so it' a great quick treat to yourself if you have an important date, as well as being a very pampering treatment.

A blowdry at Eleven is £42. For more price info call the salon.
