Product review: Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation
Now I'm a fairly tricky one when it comes to foundation, as owing to combination skin I can never be a one size fits all kinda girl. I was however extremely impressed when I recently tried Laura Mercier's Oil free foundation. This product comes in 11 shades to suit every skin tone and is fully pigmented to give the kind of coverage every girl dreams of. It smooths on like a dream, and depending on how much you apply you can go from sheer to heavy coverage. I'm sure you've realized that with my leanings towards a face full of product I went for the heavier option, and it looked great. No obvious line around the jaw area, and it even managed to blend well around the tricky nose and eye section (dontcha hate it when you start getting weird product build up there?). It's £32 from Laura Mercier, which doe does lean towards the higher end of the market, but I'm a strong believer that foundation is the one thing you should spend the most of your moolah on as it provides a base for everything else. Overall, thumbs up for this one, and I think I'll be letting my old fave, Mac NC15 die a slow death.
