Deluxe vs Dirt cheap: Origins Mega-Mushroom Eye Makeup Remover Pads and Johnson's 3 in 1 eye make up removal pads

If you're anything like me, you'll find that the problem of wearing so much eye makeup daily means that it's an absolute pain to get off, and unless you fancy rings tattooed into your skin and a smudgy pillow you had better remove before bed. These are two easy to use options as both products are laden with eye makeup remover and gentle on the skin. the Johnson's 3 in 1 eye make up removal pads are £2.99, available from Boots and leave the skin looking clean and refreshed, as well as not irritating my contact lenses. They cleanse, condition and remove all traces of the day. On the other hand there's the top of the range Origins Mega-Mushroom Eye Makeup Remover Pads, which retail for £18 from Origins and do exactly the same thing.

They feel really nice on your skin, possibly due to the fact that they're infused with Ginger, Turmeric, Holy Basil, Organic Sucrose from Sugar Cane and Yeast Extract to comfort the skin, and are also oil free and suitable for sensitive eyes. They also do the job a treat, and I do like their very light scent, but I'm not sure they're worth all that extra money seeing as both products work extremely well. So what say you-would you pick the more expensive one just because of the brand name?

Oh hey, sorry to double post, but there are products I was hoping you could one day research and compare in this column. I've heard rumours that the Gosh Velvet Touch Primer is similar if not identical to the much pricier Smashbox Photofinish Primer. I would love it if you could compare the two. Cheers! =)

Yay, thanks Zara this Deluxe vs Dirt Cheap is great. As a poor student I love hearing that a cheap product does the job just as well with no discernible difference. Even better, I'm looking for an eye makeup remover... I'll definitely give Boots a try.

I was given the Origins one as a present and they are fab and non stingy on the eyes - howevere they come in ahuge plastic container and they don't do refills which isn't very eco i thought.../
