Summer is soon to be here and L'Oreal have thankfully impressed us by not launching a collection of bronzers and fake tans. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but what they have shown us is far more exciting. First off there's the new Double Extension Beauty Tubes, also known as mascaras, which coat the lashes with a conditioning base coat and then vamp them up with the black topcoat. They've introduced tubing technology to this line, which is supposed to create 70% more extension and hold well. It's £9.99 and available from the end of May.

Next we have the long lasting Resist & Shine nail varnishes in 18 shades, from eye popping Fusion Red (which goes on in one coat!) to the more subtle Milky Beige, £4.99 from March. The varnishes have Solar Shield technology to offer protection from UV rays and look really glossy on.

Finally there's the Infallible Long Wear Lip Duo, £10.99 from May 2008, available in ten shades, from my favourite, Stay Nude (a peach shade) to Stay Ultraviolet (a deep plum). It's meant to last up to 16 hours, and there's a two step application process. First you use the colour over the lips and then you lock it in with the Vitamin enriched balm. I love the dinky packaging, and the texture of the balm is lovely.
