If you've always dreamed of long fluttery lashes and have been forever frustrated by your short stumpy ones the Jinnylash treatment could be just what you've been looking for. They promise to give you fuller sexier lashes for up to six weeks after your first treatment, and you'll notice a difference straightaway. Having grown tired of wearing mascara everyday with no discernible difference I decided to give it a go.

Read on for my experience and more pics.

Jinnylash has been around for a couple of years, and I've always been curious if you'd really be able to notice a difference, but I have to say I was very impressed. Ushered into a warm cosy studio tucked behind Bond Street station I was plied with a selection of the latest magazines before embarking on my treatment.

It involved lying down on a bed for approx one and a half hours while the therapist painstakingly applies 75 lashes to each eye The lashes are attached to your own eyelashes, not the skin and will last as long as your own eyelash cycle, which is approximately six weeks. It's quite a long, boring process, so I'd advise going at the end of the day when you fancy a short nap. The eyes are cleaned thoroughly and then your bottom lashes are held down by a large moist sticker, so as not to get in the way and you're told to keep your eyes shut. It's not a painful experience, but I wouldn't call it luxurious.

You choose the length of lash you desire- 7-8mm for a 'natural look' and 9-10mm for a more dramatic approach. I'm sure you can guess which I opted for! The amount applied to your eyes varies on the individual, but the process is the same- tweezers and a huge magnifying mirror for the therapist.

I was very impressed with the results and after batting my eyelids constantly at my reflection (so big, so lush, sooo lovely) I can see why once you Jinnylash you never go back. They are pricey but the fact that they last for such a long time really makes up for it. They fall out naturally with your lashes each hair growth cycle, and whilst you wear them it's advised not to uses mascara (apart from their own brand one) as it can pull out the lashes.

A full set of lashes costs £150. I had my treatment at the Jinny salon, 16 James Street, London W1U 1EG. For more information or appointments call 0207 495 8385 or email enquiries@jinnyshop.com. Alternatively check out the website
