At first look this is a rather standard hairdryer, one aimed at kids perhaps with the bright pink and blue metallic sheen. Then you look a little closer and realize those aren't flowers etched into the metal, no they're bones! Hmm. Well this device from Crazy Pet Gazette is actually for primping up all those pooches, not people. A lot of dogs get slightly scared by the sound a hairdryer makes (hey, I hate it as well) and it makes drying them off after a bath just that extra little bit more stressful. Dogs+water+soap=chaos. Well not anymore.

This hairdryer provides 1875 watts, yet is 90% quieter than standard dryers, hopefully meaning less struggling and doggy tears. They managed this by placing the motor in the handle of the unit rather than in the blower section, resulting in less noise.

"Most dogs become anxious or feel threatened when they hear the loud sounds of a hairdryer. The CraZy Dog hairdryer is much quieter than other dryers, which helps create a more relaxed mood for pets," says said Barbara Denzer, vice president of marketing at CraZy Dog.

Hey, I'd be happier with a quieter hairdryer, so take note Remington/Babyliss- and get on the case.
