Summertime is in the air, and we even had a full day of serious heat on Saturday (park + swings+ sun = smiley Zara), so it's time to get those bronzers out of hibernation. Two contenders for you this year areBobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick Compact, £27 and the Sunglow Bronzing palette, £12 from Autograph at M&S. The price difference is absolutely whopping but they look almost identical. So what's the lowdown? Well it really depends on what you want out of your bronzer.

If you like a subtle flush and a little shimmer I'd have to opt for the Bobbi Brown palette. the different stripes of colour mean you can layer on the shades and you can also sweep it across your eye sockets for a little glow. The Autograph palette goes onto the skin a lot deeper and doesn't have any shimmer, so it's more for contouring and getting a sunny glow, with no glitz. The colours sweep into the skin well, and I like how they double up on the eyes as a great liner (if you use a liner brush). I'm not overly thrilled by the powder consistency, but you can't beat it for price.
