Kiss and Makeup Video Review: How to apply Mineral Makeup

Yay its finally here! Our how to apply mineral makeup guide in glorious technicolour. I realize it's a little later than promised (how dare camera men have holidays!!) but I'm sure you'll think it's worth it. The products I'm suing are from the Bare Escentuals id Minerals range, but the application technique is the same with any mineral foundation.

bare Minerals products used: Mineral Foundation in Light SPF 15, Mineral Veil loose powder, Concealer in Honey Bisque, full coverage kabuki brush, and angled kabuki brush.

for me the video worked through the "watch shiny fashion TV" link on top.

Zara, I've used Bare Escentuals mineral makeup for a long time now, and there actually is a way to get around the mess!

When I bought my first jar the MA told me to only peel off some of the sticker covering the little holes the mineral powder comes out of, and gently use a knife to cut off the peeled off part. I only peel off enough to reveal a few of the holes, and this really does minimize the mess.

I give the jar a little shake/flip while it's closed, and then some of the makeup sticks to the lid and I work with that, zero mess. :)

Lovely video, thank you. I've had a Bare Escensuals foundation for a long while. I don't wear it often, as I am rarely in the mood for the effort and utterly suck at makeup. But this is timely as I am going on a trip next week and want to put that little extra effort in. :)
