Kiss and Makeup Review: The Beau Visage Skincare system

The other day I found out my skin is 30 years old. 30! As someone already scared of approaching her 25th birthday(15 days and counting) this came as a rather unpleasant shock. I moisturise, I SPF daily, but apparently that doesn't stop me from having evil broken capillaries lurking underneath my cheeks. But how did I find out all this frankly frightening news? I tested out the Beau Visage Skincare analysis system, which gives you an incredibly comprehensive skincare analysis as it uses a camera which looks up to 2mm beneath the surface of the skin.

The system assesses your face for distribution of melanin, sun damage and blood (hence the broken capillaries) and also calculates the age of your face. Whilst it's initially shocking it does mean that a treatment plan can be carried out for you, based on the visible and non-visible signs of ageing to the face.

Based on what the therapist sees she can recommend you a course of action which could be anything from IPL treatments to anti wrinkle creams to plump up the skin.

To get the pictures (see above) you place your chin into a small resting area, similar to what you'd find in a an opticians, whilst images are taken of you from different angles. The computer then maps your skin and lets you look at different trouble zones. A nice feature is that every client gets a print out an after few sessions of recommended treatments, hopefully you'll get a set of new improved pictures. As well as blood and melanin you can also check for other signs, such as wrinkle analysis an collagen checks to see how toned your face is.

I'm planning to go back once I've indulged in some heavy duty anti-aging time, and hope that my next score will be something nearer my true age.
