Product review: Ginvera Marvel gel is marvel-lous!

Marvel Gel.JPG

Now my skin is not one of those that always looks flawless, and keeping it 95% spot free is generally down to hard work, daily exfoliation and a dose of Dianette. However I recently went on a long haul trip ( I know, poor me) and when I returned it was zit central. I'm talking breakouts, huge pores and really obvious pustules on my chin. Thankfully my role as beauty editor means I don't have to curl up in bed for three days, wearing a wide brimmed fedora, no I got pro-active and started testing spot remedies left, right and center. And I discovered this.

Marvel gel. It's not cheap, at £15 from Happy Babble for a tiny tube, but a little really goes a long way, and the results are sooo worth it. It's enriched with antioxidants from Green Tea, and you rub it onto dry skin in small circular motions. After two minutes it becomes a weird flaky paste, which apparently is the dead skin and blackheads you've removed. It's incredibly gentle to use and my skin was noticeably brighter after one wash.

After a couple of days the offending spots were really diminished in size and my whole complexion seemed visibly brighter. they recommend you use this daily, but I'd suggest twice a week, or whenever your skin needs a perk.

I love the fact that it's made from natural ingredients and the extracts of white tea, ginseng and Aloe Vera really nourish the skin, and make the exfoliation really gentle. It's definitely a hero product and I'll be taking this with me next time I fly anywhere ,a perfect skin rescue remedy.

if you have any friends in asia, you could easily get this for 1/3 the price. it's a pretty common product and even grandmothers use it.

Good for the spots only, or also the pores?

£15?! I could probably get it at most £4 back home in Malaysia. Even with 17.5% VAT added, that is sure waaay off.

Hi, I am using the product. It is indeed marvelous. Not too painful a price to pay for a product that actually works! Everything is cheaper in Malaysia not just this...

My girlfriend absolutely loves this product! £15 or not, it works!!

This product is one of very few, that actually does what it says on the label! It gets rid of ugly blackheads, and at £15 I think it is a bargain, considering there are many more expensive products on the shelf, which simply don't deliver!

I haven't yet tried this, but it sounds promising. Another tip for travelers: Some 6 months ago I found a range of amazing products from Eucerin, called Eucerin Impure Skin. My oily, zit-prone and blackhead-pestered skin has been clear and smooth since using their wash gel, toner and moisturizer every day. The results could be seen after few weeks of regular use, and now I would not use anything else. The Eucerin Impure Skin range is painfully difficult to find though: currently they can be bought at least from Finland, Hungary, Slovak Republic, Czech and Slovenia. It's incomprehensible why these products are not available in UK!
