Ever since seeing Kate Bosworth sporting those beautifully vibrant blue eyes at the Costume Institute Gala, I have been dying to recreate the look. The problem is, I don't like to spend a lot of money on fleeting trends, but in order to create this look well, you need a good quality shadow or liner that is packed with pigments, otherwise you might end up looking like a summer wedding pastel disaster. But yep, you guessed it, well pigmented products tend to be expensive.
This terrible beauty conundrum is easily solved by Bourjois' Metallic eyeliners. While many of the cheaper brands were still a little watery in colour, this product, priced at only £4.25 was every bit as good as a more expensive brand. The Aqua shade I used created a bright, vibrant line of blue across the eye. If that wasn't good enough for the price of a glass of wine, Metallic Eyeliners are also waterproof giving them plenty of staying power.
I think I am going to have to put my favourite black Kohl on hold for the summer!
