Jo Malone has just launched the Kohdo Wood collection, a range which includes two fragrances, one for day, and one for night. Amazingly one is in a light bottle and one in a dark one, I wonder what genius thought that up? The scents though are seriously lovely, with the day version being Lotus Blossom and water Lily ad the evening version the slightly muskier Dark Amber and Ginger Lily. They cost £30 for 30ml, and are pretty pleasant scents. Rather than going on to strong and then settling down (as many perfumes do) they seem to coat the skin with a lustrous olfactory veil. I don't agree with the waffle about them 'energizing the soul' but they do add to the beauty of a summer day with their rich but fresh tones.
