Japan has brought us many good things in the past, such as sushi, harajuku girls and Manga, and now they bring us something not so cute. The Overall Health Balance Scale from National Electric looks fairly innocuous, but that's before you learn all the horrors it can do. As well as telling you your weight, BMI and body at it also gives you a fitness rating out five! And if that wasn't bad enough, the screen also acts as a sensor and when you place it over fatty areas (stomach, bum, etc) it will measure the amount of subcutaneous fat to the nearest millimeter!
Nice. It also measures your muscle mass, and calculates how much organ fat you have,
It's created to target the dreaded metabolic syndrome', and by having all these facts and figures available I'm sure you'll be eating more healthily. Either that, or the scale will soon become a useful clothes horse.
