...Mack, Chelmsford!
Last night Zara and I headed to Earl's Court 2 for the incredible Grand Final of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2008. Dubbed 'The Oscars of Hairdressing' the final really is a spectacular event that brings the cream of the crop (sorry!) out in their best frocks and black tie to celebrate the best in British colour. Mack salon from Chelmsford finally scooped the top honour, with their frothy mahogany curls and gothic-inspired styling...

The whole show had a bit of a gothic undertone, with many of the finalists looking to fashion designers Gareth Pugh and Christopher Kane for inspiration. Short seemed the way to go with the cuts, with many of the models hitting the catwalk with sharp bobs, heavy fringes and Agyness Deyn crops.
Speaking of Agyness Deyn, we must say a massive congrats to Joseph Cordero at Elements in Teddington for winning the London regional prize with his Aggy-esque bright blonde cropped 'do. Zara visited Joseph last week and also experienced his blonde brilliance.

Stay tuned for loads more from the final, including our chats with top stylists like Errol Douglas MBE, Lisa Shepherd, Terry Calvert and Guy Kremer.
