When I was younger I was glued to the TV show Clarissa Explains It All, as Melissa's character was the kooky alternative to Sweet Valley High that I needed. She never worried too much about fashion or being popular, and was the epitome of cool to me. Read on for her beauty looks.
She was born in 1976 in New York and has been involved in TV since 1985, staring in a kids advert and moving to TV shows. Since her youthful days as Clarissa, Melissa's style really hasn't changed that much. Sure, she's discovered hair serum and straighteners, and there are definitely no more scrunchies, but she remains as fresh faced and pretty as ever, despite two kids below six years of age.
Her blonde locks have always been a trademark, and when she moved away from Clarissa in 1994, she kept her hair long and lustrous. During her time in Sabrina the Teenage Witch she stayed mostly blonde, but occasionally went for the chop and worked the cute bob look, She also excelled as a fiery redhead during the last series, and the bright colour went well with her porcelain skin.
Her look has always been about getting the basics down pat, and you'll never see her without manicured eyebrows and shiny white teeth. Her hair may change from curls to straight, and the shade of blonde may alter, but she still looks as sweet as can be. She ain't that innocent though, as she voiced one of the characters in the Playboy computer game!
