Product Review: Delicious Self tanning Cream from Clarins

It's a little scary fake tanning on your own, as certain areas of your body feel like they're not properly covered (namely the back). However I bravely forged on, and decided to try going solo, and out came the bottle. After exfoliating and moisturisng (essential for not getting orange hands) I investigated further.

I'd decided to try Delicious Tanning from Clarins as I'd heard really good things about it, and first glance was appealing. It's contained in a large pot, £19.51 from Clarins, and the product is thick and mousse like, adhering to the hands like a thick body butter. There's no chemical smell which is a bonus, and the tan is tinted a deep beige colour, which looks very inviting.

It has cocoa butter in it to keep your skin hydrated as well as extracts of Aloe Vera and Unsaponifiables of Cacao to provide long lasting colour. The cream smoothed on really easily and rubbed in well, though I was worried at rubbing to vigorously- I didn't want to streak it!

I loved how it sank into my skin in a caramel colour and after about half an hour of scarecrow like antics to make it dry I felt comfortable enough to clothe. Here's a useful hint though: Wear black and place a towel on your sheets before you sleep.

When it washed off the next morning I was left with lovely golden limbs, and a rather sheepish white patch on my back. So, the colour was lovely and non streaky, the application really easy, but doing it solo, not so much. From now on I'll be tanning with a mate methinks.
