Remington introduces Shine Therapy, to condition and straighten at the same time

I'm always a little wary when a company proclaims that its product is the latest on the market, and that no-one has ever done anything similar before. However, once again I'm suckered in by what's on offer and have become quite curious about whether it will live up to its promises. Remington had launched two new products, a straightener and a hairdryer, which promise to condition whilst they style.

They both use new technology that allows the product to preserve the condition in the hair. The straightener, £69.99 from all good retailers is imbued with a coating in its plates. The ceramic has porous properties and is infused with Vitamin E and conditioning agents which emit during styling, to moisturise your locks. There is also avocado oil to nourish, and the straightener has a salon length cord and heats up to 230c.

The hairdryer retails for £49.99 and you insert a cartridge in order to get the Shine Therapy benefits. It emits a sheer mist of shine enhancing moisturisers and avocado oil, rich in vitamins A, E & D. he mist is supposed to eliminate frizz and you can choose if you want it all over the hair or just on the dry ends.

Sounds great, but will it work? I'll keep you posted.
