How to achieve the Catwalk Bright Eye look at home

cool eye.jpg

Bright eyes have been a catwalk trend for some months now, but I've always been a bit worried about how to recreate the look at home. Setting aside my doubts of being mocked by small children, I decided to try a dramatic purple and blue eye. As you can see I think I succeeded in my goal! Read on for more pics, and how to achieve this look.

Bright Eye with Flash

To start with I spread RMK KGN3 shadow all over my lid. It has a light slightly sticky texture and looks really light along the eye. I blended it right up to the brow-bone, for an all over shimmery wash of colour. Next I took the Suqqu shadow in hot pink and spread it across the outer corner of my eye, curving it into a slight cats eye.

Using a cotton bud dipped in Barry M Baby Blue Dazzle Dust I softly drew a line under the eye and highlighted the inner corner. I finished off with Bedhead's purple liquid shadow, layering it over the blue and the pink for a multidimensional look. I finished the look of with a lashing of Diorshow mascara and a martini!
