Green eyes are tricky to achieve. I've mentioned before about how it's important to make sure you have the right shades so you don't appear washed out; and taking in mind the fact that I'm a pale skinned blonde I chose to use a combination of dark green and gold. It's great to do a dramatic eye, but making it look wearable is another matter.
Read on to get the look.
To create this look I started by applying Shadow Insurance all over the eyelid. It smooths on in a nude creamy colour and will help the shadow stick to the eye and last longer. Next using a thick brush I swirled Urban Decay's Graffiti shadow all over the eyelid. Then I used the GOSH yellow shadow to line around the eye socket, contouring above and below the eye to provide a halo like effect. I used my fingers to smudge in my colour, to make sure it was bright. Next I used the 24/7 liner pencil to outline the top eyelid, going right into the corner of the eye.
I extended it below the eye and smudged in the colour with a cotton bud to make it more subtle. Then taking the GOSH liner in Rising Sun, I drew two tiny orange flicks on each eye to add depth and colour.
I'm not 100% sure this worked, but it's always fun to experiment. To finish off I applied mascara, and voila, a wearable green and gold look!
