Review: Cargo One Base Concealer / Foundation

cargoonebase.jpgThis is a great product to have on hand in the summer time when no one really wants a full-face of foundation. This product lies somewhere between a concealer and foundation in the sense that it's highly pigmented but blends very well into the skin for seamless coverage. For girls with relatively good skin, this and a dusting of powder may be all you need.Sadly, I don't fall into that category, but i find I can get away with a lot less mineral foundation when using this product,

The trick is nailing a shade that blends perfectly into your skintone. With five shades available, that might be easier said than done. Still, although Shade 02 is a tad pink for me, it works well as a concealer with the help of a colour-correcting yellow powder dusted over to set.

I found the concealer to feel very light, almost weightless, going on. It doesn't appear cakey and blends out like a dream. It isn't a full-coverage concealer, so don't expect it to cover tattoos, but for minor blemishes, redness around the nose, and dark circles it works a treat.

The concealer isn't drying either but it performs well on my oily skin. I like to think it helps hydrate my undereye area thanks to its chamomile and avocado extracts as well as Vitamin E. I do notice some fading in this hot summer weather though - but my skin really is ridiculously oily although OC8 has done wonders.

Cargo is a little hard to come by in the UK, but for those of you lucky enough to have access to it, OneBase retails for $22.
