This week I've opted for a slightly nautical them, and decided to use silver and blue to create a sparkling eye. I think the colours work really well together, and think this would be a lovely look for a night out. So how do you do this at home? Read on to find out...
First I wanted to create a really nice base for the eyes, so I lightly pressed Dior Eyeshow in Pop Aquadelic all over the eye. Because it's a waterproof shadow it has a really slick finish, and works greats as a base, adding a hint of colour all over. Next I took the lighter shade of the GOSH duet and layered that over the Dior Eyeshow, only going halfway to the browbone. I then used the darker colour over the lid to add definition to the eye.
I lined the inside lid with the Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Dark Blue, and then went over this in their Heavy metal liner to add some silver shimmer. I used the 24/7 liner in Yeyo along the bottom of the eyes to bring them out, and worked my way into the corners as well to open them up. I slicked a line of Benefit High Brow under the browbone, to catch any excess powder, as well as open up the browbone.
Next I took the Bella Pierre mineral eyeshadow and used this from the crease of the eye up to the browbone to provide a layered shimmery wash of silver. It blended really nicely with the blue, adding a shine to it, and then served to open up the top of the eye. I finished with a slick of mascara, and voila, the perfect Silvery Blue eye.
