When MAC's eyeshadow quad from the Cult of the Cherry range landed on my desk, I couldn't help but getting a bit giggly. The colours were so gorgeous, the pigments so fine, and it was just such a wearable palette. The shades are Nanogold, brash, sweet chocolate and spiced chocolate. I decided to create a dramatic eye look (as seen above) and this is how you can recreate it.

First off I swept the lightest shade all over the eye, reaching up to the socket. This provides a nice base to create the rest of the look, and also stops it from wearing off too quickly. I next took the copper shade and used it all over the eyelid, reaching right into the socket. I layered it on to get a nice rich colour.

Next I took an eyeliner brush and gently drew a fine line along the top of my eye, stretching out into a little flick. A brush is great for blending away any smudges, and really easy to control. I then went into the crease in the socket and drew a line there which connected with the eye flick.

I extended the flick into a V shape and filled in with e darkest colour, using cotton buds to create a perfect line. It takes a while to get this even on both sides, but don't give up! Finish with a slick of mascara, and voila, a great dramatic eye look with the Cult of the Cherry palette!
