Product review: Phenomen'eyes Mascara from Givenchy
There's been quite a lot of furore over the new Givenchy Phenomen'eyes mascara we mentioned here.People were unsure whether the strangely spherical wand would actually give good coverage, and if applying it at a vertical angle would mean you poked yourself in the eyes. I stepped up to the challenge and I have to say, I think it's fantastic. The brush may be oddly shaped, but it picks up enough colour to coat all your lashes, and it volumizes as well as lengthens them.
The formula really sticks to the lashes, so you don't have to worry about smudging during the day and it removes really easily. It glides on so well because of the polymers it's created with, and it really enhances the eye. I liked how it gave my lashes more definition, and the fact that the tube is shorter than normal means more space in my handbag.
The formula is created from water and a cutting edge polymer which sticks to the lashes, separating and lengthening them. It's available in black and brown and will cost £17 from Givenchy, available September 2008.
