The lovely Justin TimberlaKE should shortly be popping up in magazine adverts looking tousled and dishevelled as he promotes the latest Givenchy fragrance. He's doing more than just look delightful though, since as well as waffling about spicy wood, tonka bean and bergamot he'd also running a competition for young composers. Givenchy is inviting people to create their own mix of music for the fragrance, and users can vote on their favourites.
Anyone can log on and sign up to take part and registration is very simple and easy. You get your own mixing console to play with, with 30 predefined tracks (guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, etc) Every day the mix with the most votes receives a bottle of fragrance and at the end of the competition in October the person with the most overall votes will win a day in a music studio to record their own track. Sadly, Justin isn't included in the prize.
You can publicize your creation with Facebook and MySpace widgets and the competition already has loads of entries. Check it out at Play Givenchy.
