The other day I tried out Pillar Box red lips, and today I'm experimenting with MAC's Dubonnet a darker colour, that might help me conquer my fear of red lips. Here's my tale...
8.20 am.Oh god. I don't recognize the face staring back in the mirror. The lips look so bold they're almost pornographic and the colour makes the rest of my face looks really washed out. There are a lot of blue undertones in this shade, and I can't help but be nervous at my reception on the way to work.
Made the mistake of touching my lips elf consiously and red came away on my hand. Argh! I miss my normal lip balm.

2pm. Just bought lunch at Sainsbury's. I'm sure the cashier gave me an odd look, but the builders didn't even whistle as I went by, just looked admiring and dare I say it.. respectful. I'm starting to like this!
10pm. Partying with Jodie Harsh at a Sky event. The red lips make me feel confident and together and jazz up a rather plain dress. Finally I feel pretty and confident, and evening event really do seem to bring out my inner red-lipped vixen. Shoot, is that lipstick on my teeth?
Note: Red lips and champagne flutes is recipe for disaster.
