You guys all know that I've recently had Cinderella hair extensions put in, and my ear is now firmly glued to the hair extension beat. I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a procedure that could revolutionize the market the other day and just had to share it with you.

They're called Verlocke Zip&Go extensions and they're coming to the UK. What we have here is a system that requires NO heat, NO glue, and minimal application time. In fact a head of hair can be put in within an hour, and removal time could be half that. So how does it work, and should you give it a go?

Damage control tends to be the word to watch out for in extensions as it's inevitable that your hair will not be as strong if you have hair dangling from it. But it tends to be the glue (also known as the bond) that worries people most. Well Zip&Go work with cold fusion bonds, so no heat is needed. The bond is attached to a loop which you thread through the hair and tighten till the loop falls away (similar to threading a needle). You then squeeze the ring bond with a pair of pliers, firmly fixing it in the hair. Now all you need to do is repeat this a couple doze times and you have your head full of hair.

If a strand is placed in badly simple take the pliers and unclip the bond and slide it out. hair can be reused and all of it 100% ethically sourced real human hair. It's supposed to last 2-2.5 month sand come in 57 shades, from normal colours to crazy reds and pinks.

A hairdresser I spoke to said this would change backstage styling for shows as it would half the time to prep models, and he also added he thought they were considerably cheaper than other brands as well. You can order in all hair lengths om 12-38 inches, and all that remains now is for them to find suitable UK stockists and salons.
