It's that time of year again. rain, rain, more rain and a little bit of biting cold thrown in for good measure. Add to that late nights, an overindulgence of the fizzy stuff and it's no wonder your pout is looking more parched than Amy Winehouses's Girl Scout uniform. Well there may be a saviour lurking in the wings, and it goes by the name of Shizen. It's a new organic brand that hails from Australia and contains ingredients which are 100% natural and designed to soothe and protect chapped lips.
I had a try with their fab lip serum £21.50, and though it was a strange feeling to apply liquid to the lips, it really seemed to sink in and nourish them. Perhaps it was all the plant oils which led to my chapped lips getting softer, but anything that means they don't split gets a thumbs up in my book. I liked the scent of the lemon myrtle oil mixed with jojoba oil, and as all you need is two drops it will last a long time.
I'm also a fan of their All Over Balm, £22.75 from Shizen at QVC which is a great alternative to the famous 8 hour cream. The texture is thick and smoothes on easily with a really nice scent, and sinks into the skin. It's great for pretty much anything, and they advise using it on nappy rash, skin irritations and dry patches, and I loved it on this recurring patch I keep getting on my neck.
The rage is free from parabens, mineral oils and colurings and looks quite stylish in white and silver boxes with a daisy print.
Check it out at QVC!
